Family Residence Permit
The family residence permit Turkey allows foreign spouses and/or relatives of Turkish citizens who want to bring their family members to Turkey. It also allows dependent children younger than the age of 18 to continue their education in Turkey, without getting a student residence permit.
Requirements, Documents, and Highlights for Family Residence Permit:
- Valid up to three (3) years.
- 4 biometric photos
- It covers the applicants within the scope of Article 28 of Law No. 5901, including foreign nationals with residence permits, refugees, and minors.
- Evidence of Turkish private health insurance for applicants between the ages of 18 and 65
- Local Turkish bank document demonstrating the applicant’s financial independence and ability to support the applicant and dependent family members (spouse and children under the age of eighteen (18) years old)
- Resident application form
- The original passport and notarized translation by a Turkish notary public of the passport or travel document.
- For applying for a spouse or dependent child, Turkish sworn translations of the child’s birth certificate and spouse’s marriage certificate are required. These certificates may require apostille (if the country has agreements with Turkey) or stamps from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Turkish consulate in the applicant’s country.
